Charity Shop Clicker

BACKGROUND

This game, if you can even call it that, is something I started working on back in March 2024. I was inspired to create it after playing Cookie Clicker for several hours straight, and by the fact I work in a charity shop.

ABOUT

Charity Shop Clicker isn't anything spectacular; you just need to look at the user interface to see that. You click the shop, earn money, and buy departments and upgrades to make even more money automatically.

That's pretty much it.

FEATURES

• One department available to buy. Departments make money automatically every second.
• One upgrade available to buy. Upgrades increase the amount of money you earn from clicking.
• Save/Load features.

WHAT I HOPE TO ADD

• Several more departments, such as home entertainment, bric-a-brac, clothing, and all the other sorts of stuff you'd expect to find in a charity shop.
• Several more upgrades.
• The ability to change the currency you play with.
• Achievements (a big ask, might not actually happen).

ABOUT ME

I've been making stuff like this since secondary school, which is where I was introduced to programming by way of Visual Basic 6. I'll be the first to admit that my skills aren't the best, but I don't let that stop me from making silly little things to pass the time. Back in the day, I made tons of really stupid games and programs that actually seemed popular, but alas they have not stood the test of time.

Charity Shop Clicker is the latest in a long line of projects that may or may not go anywhere; it really depends on the feedback I get.
